14" Dell inspiron 1420 2.1Ghz Core2. 2Gb ram. DVDRW WiFi-N VGC in BELMONT, Queensland for sale

Condition:
SUPERB! apart from one flaw. The lid is sticky! It was like it when I got it. I've tried cleaning it multiple times, but it stays sticky, and as a consequence, has attracted some scuff marks from multiple insertions/removals from our snug laptop bag (not included). My guess is the paint used by the manufacturer on these "choose your colour" lids was inadequate, and has been softened by a cleaning attempt by original owner. A quick google found multiple similar complaints around the world.The corners are unmarked, so it has never been dropped, and inside is just beautiful.
Tech specs (for the Geeks like me):
Intel T6570 45nm Penryn cpu. Upgraded from the T5450 Merom for better performance and battery life/ less fan noise and heat.
Intel 4965AGN robust WiFi-N (upgrade from original 3945AG). WiFi signal strength is a bit of an obsession for me :-). (Never had a laptop I haven't upgraded the wifi on).
Integrated Intel Graphics version, which means it WON'T play 3D games, and WON'T overheat, lockup, reboot, or die a premature death, like MOST laptop dedicated graphics solutions (particularly of this era. Number ONE cause of death).
Updated BIOS. ANY Dell windows 7 restore CD will re-install windows without needing online re-activation (just like an original dell install).
The Story (for the bored or suspicious types):
This was purchased by me with hard disk missing and a faulty screen inverter, as an easy hobby project. Once refurbed, it was pressed into service as a short term solution for work, until cashflow improved. (Mainly due to the red lid matching company colours, LOL). With my 4gb ram kit and favorite SSD temporarily installed, it was surprisingly speedy and trouble-free. At EOFY we replaced it with an i5 dell, so this is now surplus.
